All of Hardy's HI 3000 Series Controllers can send email messages, giving you the ability to receive rapid notification of important events or alarms in your process system- anywhere, anytime. Emails can be forwarded to a pager, a cell phone, PDA or a personal computer. Emails are set up through the instrument's embedded web server.
Our custom emails can provide you with specific information about the process, such as physical location, product line and other critical parameters in any language. An operator can receive an alarm or notification indicating a specific message such as "Check for Blockage on Line #1" or " Place order for more liquid stabilizer, 100 lbs. remain."
You can set up "subject" filters to receive email in programs such as Microsoft® Outlook® and Qualcomm Eudora™, which allows you to capture and filter alarms and events initiated from various controllers and archive them into separate "inboxes" for history logging.
Standard Email
By using a web browser you can access the HI 3000 Series Standard Email web server page and select any number of events and alarms from a pre-defined alphabetical pull-down list. You can select more than one alarm or event that puts them in an "or" relationship. This means that when any single alarm or event occurs, a message will be sent to the selected group email group. There are up to three separate groups and you can specify any number of emails in a group as long as they do not exceed a total of up to 240 characters per group. Commas or semicolons are used to separate multiple addresses. Note: on the HI 3030 the only events to initiate a standard email are set points.
Custom Email
The custom email has up to 10 different user-defined templates, which are stored and can be selected from a pull-down menu. Each template has a "send to", a "subject" line, and a "Body" section. The email can be initiated by a process event, alarm or via a local or network input by mapping that specific email to that event.
A standard email would look like this:
